A 25–year-old Fox Hill man is in custody after he was arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) for possession of dangerous drugs on Tuesday, January 5.
According to police, shortly after 7pm the man was travelling to the United States when US Customs and Border Patrol officials detained him at the US Pre-Clearance Departure Lounge. Police said he was stopped after just over two pounds of cocaine was allegedly discovered in his luggage.
The man was handed over to police and is expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.
Police have also reported that two men are in custody after the seizure of a firearm and dangerous drugs on Tuesday.
Around 4pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home located in Bozine Town, where they uncovered a handgun with two rounds of ammunition and a quantity of marijuana.
The two males, 16 and 38, were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
