NACRA RUGBY: Dorian Roach, along with Sean Albury and Dorian Bowleg of the Buccaneers, presents the donation for future education to Dr Mike Neville, grandfather of Skylah (front, centre), surrounded by her family.
The annual Buccaneers Rugby Club Boxing Day seven-a-side tournament, a charitable event renamed in memory of Sean Neville, provided a great day of rugby at the Winton Rugby Centre with some outstanding play by both the men’s and women’s teams. The champions at the end of a very competitive day were the “Legends”, coached and captained by Manoli (an erstwhile prop forward).
The speed of most of the team was just too much for most older competitors. The Drunk Monks and the Buccaneers club organised a fantastic day, the proceeds of which were donated to Skylah Neville, Sean’s daughter, for her future education.
Dorian Roach, along with Sean Albury and Dorian Bowleg of Buccaneers, is pictured presenting the donation to Skylah, who was surrounded by her family, while the Drunk Monks show their support for the memorial tournament. Sean Neville, an outstanding 31-year-old sportsman, was shot and killed near his home in eastern New Providence in February 2014, a crime which remains unsolved.
