A quantity of suspected cocaine and marijuana were discovered in the Eight Mile Rock area on Wednesday; however, no one was arrested in connection with the find.

According to police reports, DEU officers executed a search on a property in Eight Mile Rock shortly after noon and made the discovery.

Acting on information, DEU officers further went to Coral Gardens in Freeport around 1pm where they discovered a black .25 pistol with a magazine. There was also no arrest in that matter.

Police are investigating both matters.
