POLICE are on the hunt for two men who robbed several bus passengers and a pizza delivery man before taking officers on a high speed chase on Gladstone Road.
The events unfolded shortly after 6.30pm on Monday.
According to police, three men in a silver coloured Honda, armed with a handgun, robbed several passengers on a public service bus parked at a bus stop on Carmichael and Bacardi Roads before speeding off.
Then shortly after 8pm, a pizza delivery man was standing in front of the Cable Beach Shopping Centre on West Bay Street, when the same three men in a silver Honda vehicle armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of his wallet containing cash and a cell phone before speeding off.
The police were immediately notified and an all-points bulletin (APB) was issued for the vehicle and suspects. A short while later, police on patrol spotted the speeding vehicle on Gladstone Road.
Several police units gave chase and the suspects’ vehicle came to a stop when it crashed in the area of Jubilee Gardens near Fire Trail Road. The suspects jumped out of the vehicle and after a short foot chase, police were able to catch one of them. The other two suspects escaped on foot, police said.
Police conducted a search of the suspects’ vehicle where they reported they found a handgun with four rounds of ammunition. Police also recovered the wallet and cash taken during the last armed robbery.
Police later recovered two stolen Honda vehicles and a quantity of dangerous drugs from a home of one of the suspects.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the other two suspects is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Good job police. I'm sure you will find the other 2 thieves pretty soon and bring them to justice. I just hope our legal system assists the public in placing these thugs behind bars.
