POLICE in Grand Bahama are investigating the deaths of two people on Tuesday, a 31-year-old woman after a traffic accident and a man who was found in a tractor submerged in the canal in the Deadman's Reef area.
The woman died of her injuries in hospital after an accident which reportedly occurred shortly after 8am. She was the driver of a 1999 Nissan Sunny travelling west along Grand Bahama Highway when the vehicle ran off the road and collided with trees. EMS personnel were called to the scene and transported the victim to hospital, where she was pronounced dead by doctor.
Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in the Deadman's Reef area after being called shortly after noon. Officers found the body of a man in a tractor submerged in the canal. The body was pulled to shore and pronounced dead.
