REPORTS from two captains who were fishing in the northern Bahamas make good reading this week.

“Caught 2 Blue Marlin in the past week! First one ate a ‪#‎Ballyhoo‬ North of West End, ‪#‎GrandBahama‬. Here are a few pics! Boat is Morningstar III, anglers Fred and Lynn tag teamed!” read one.

“And the bite in ‪#‎Bimini‬ is a big one. Just a half day fishing and you can catch 7, 10 and even 21 Wahoo. North of the Ginger Breads in 300ft, on the shelf to Issacs is the same, and then a race for Cat Cay for the even low tide,” reported Thomas Butler.

Keep checking the Bahamas Sport Fishing Network (BSFN) expert page for fishing reports throughout the Bahamas: this will be helpful in tracking the “hot spots” and providing advice on gear and fishing methods being used.
