THE “Jesus in the Park” event has evolved to the next level, hosting even more concerts this year, the first of which will take place tomorrow night.

The stage has already been set for the family fun-filled event that will minister the Gospel through various art forms. The concert will take place this Friday and Saturday at Christie Park, Nassau Street.

According to organisers, “Jesus in the Park Double Take” features to two full nights of “power-packed” music. Several popular gospel artists will be performing. They include GodSent Muzic featuring Mr Lynx, Peter Runks, Big Bruh, Mr Blaxx, Storm Taylor and Avalanche, Christian Massive, Lyrically Blessed, Gospel Boys, Landlord, Solo, Najie Dunn, Nagia Symonette, Lady Latisha Rolle, Leonardo Evans, Eman, Johnny B, Rashad Rich, Shaback, the Tabernacle Concert Choir and True Worshipers.

There will also be a guest performance by JD from Trinidad and Tobago.

The annual outreach event is the brainchild of Maurice ‘DJ Godson’ Fawkes and offers unique activities for those living in the inner-city communities.

“This year I am extremely excited about Jesus in the Park, as this is the first year we will have four concerts in one year, on four different parks,” DJ Godson said.

He said the main goal of the event is for people to hear the Word of God preached and ultimately have their lives transformed by that message.

“Persons can look forward to experiencing God’s power and his presence through the spoken word and music. Jesus In The Park is an opportunity to create change, and the best way to change a person and their mindset is through the power of God,” DJ Godson said.

“The number one goal is to make the name of Jesus famous and to expand God’s Kingdom. I invite the entire Bahamas to come out and worship and praise our God as we expand his Kingdom to a nation that certainly needs it. We are creating history and it begins this Friday.”

DJ Godson has partnered with Sound Company Bahamas and sponsors including The CoCo Plum/Land Shark Dive Hotel, Power Tech, GodSent Muzic and Fire and Welding to make the event happen.
