POLICE are searching for three men in connection with a shooting incident on Thursday.

According to reports, a man was shot while sitting in a vehicle with a female friend shortly after 9pm. The vehicle was parked in front of a home at Blue Hill and Malcolm Roads. The victim was approached by three men with handguns who later fled the scene on foot.

The victim remains in serious condition.

Police were later called to an armed robbery at Hunts Close early on Friday.

A man was reportedly standing in front of his home when another man with a handgun robbed him of cash shortly after 2am. The gunman fled in a champagne coloured Honda Civic.

Police discovered a quantity of marijuana at the home of an American man in Spanish Wells after executing a search warrant around 5pm on Thursday.

The home owner, who was said to be from New Jersey, was taken into custody.

Police also arrested nine people in New Providence for various criminal offences on Thursday during an anti-crime operation led by the officers from the Selective Enforcement Team.

The arrests were made for questioning in matters concerning firearms, armed robbery and causing harm.
