My comments - on the passing of the Gender Equality bills in both the lower house and senate of parliament, all should say well done; and vote for all the amendments, as, I did in 2002, and will do again in this upcoming referendum.
However, as an individual with great perception, plus operates in an “activist” field, I think that once the said bills are placed on the law books and enshrined within our constitution, then Bahamian law makers, as well as, the Bahamian public should move swiftly to put in place certain insertions to the fourth bill whereby closing and keeping locked the door to the possibility of same sex marriages happening in the Bahamas.
I sincerely endorsed the words used by the leader of the DNA, and of which he felt should have been added in the workings of the fourth bill, and which was voiced over a television speech given by the DNA leader.
It was very well put.
