THE fire is really burning as tickets for the second instalment of the Chris Brown Bahamas Invitational are now on sale.
With less than four weeks before what many consider to be the official launch of the 2016 Olympic season, CBBI ticket sales have picked up considerably.
“Ticket sales are going surprisingly well,” said Fernerin Hanna, marketing coordinator for CBBI. “We didn’t expect them to be rolling so quickly, especially in the first week, however they are moving.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium Box Office, Galleria Cinemas in the Mall at Marathon (open daily until 9pm) and online at www.nsa-bahamas.com. The event is set for April 16, 2016.
CBBI is also hosting its very first ‘Fantasy Relays.’ The online relay competition includes all of the countries that will be represented at the invitational.
“Our goal is to get the ‘Fantasy Relay’ going viral,” said Day-nae Bowe, CBBI’s new media director. “We’re using the hashtag #roadtorio because we want to encourage everyone around the world to participate. We want to get everyone involved and showing all the athletes who will attend CBBI that we are rooting for them not only on April 16 but also when they head to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.”
Persons wanting to participate in the Fantasy Relays can like the official CBBI page, like the country banner they want and share the photo to complete their leg of the Fantasy Relays.
The banner with the most likes and shares will be projected onto the front of the stadium and given stadium rights for the entire event. The flag with the most likes will be deemed as the winner of the virtual relay and will be projected on to the front entrance of the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium on April 16.
The second instalment of CBBI is sponsored by the Bahamas Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Ministry of Tourism, Mailboat, Florida’s Natural, FYP, Bounty, Bluebird, PowerAde, Outback Steakhouse, Scotiabank Bahamas Ltd, Galleria Cinemas, Hot 97.1 FM, Island 102.9FM, AsueDraw and The Sign Man.
