Teaching Bahamians how to live life in a meaningful way is the goal of motivational speaker Katherine Beneby.

With her company KBII Communication, Ms Beneby will be hosting a seminar this week to assist people in “choosing a life that matters”.

The seminar is 242 Intentional Living Movement event and will take place at the Potential Church, John F Kennedy Drive, on Thursday from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Hosted by Ms Beneby, the evening will also feature special guests like comedian Betrum Oh Bubbler, singer AJ Munnings, and acting as emcee, Antonia Lightbourne, the CEO and founder of eNue Magazine.

As guests are encouraged to bring along their business cards, she said, as they can also expect networking breaks throughout the event to foster connections.

“This is the first time the event is being held. At KBII Communication, we are a communications company established in 2012 that focuses on marketing and public relations as well as training and leadership development. KBII Communication is introducing the 242 Intentional Living Movement by hosting this event as a kick-off session,” Ms Beneby told Tribune Woman.

As a certified John C Maxwell speaker, trainer and coach, she said she is well-equipped with over 40 years of proven leadership material from John C Maxwell himself. Mr Maxwell is a well-known American author, pastor, speaker and leadership expert.

“John’s latest book, ‘Intentional Living’, is a great resource and my aim is to stir and encourage individuals to embrace a life of significance. This seminar will provide practical ways on how we can live a life of significance. Significance isn’t determined by age, position, status, ethnicity, gender, etcetera, but it boils down to us wanting to make a difference and impact the lives of the people around us,” Ms Beneby said.

The goal, she said, is to propel people to activate all their God-given gifts, talents and abilities.

“This is important for me as the organiser to be a part of an event like this because it’s another opportunity to meet new people, learn new things and enhance our growth,” she said.
