HEAVY THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NASSAU

Accuweather has extended a severe weather alert for Nassau for 2.25 to 6pm on Monday as a heavy thunderstorm rolls in from off the coast of New Providence.

Forecasters say the storm will be capable of producing frequent lightning as well as heavy rainfall. Where this storm hits land, rainfall totals will range between one and two inches, though locally higher amounts of two to four inches will be possible. This could result in localised flooding, particularly in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

In addition, strong wind gusts in excess of 45mph cannot be ruled out.

Another year and at the first sign of lightening, the power gets cut. At least you tried BPL. Perhaps we expect too much. Can't control the weather but maybe we could ban the birds

these storms would be awaiting for the results of June 7th rather it needs to pay the bahamas a visit to wake up the people or rather the Blessings is going to remain on the Bahamas and we would have yet another safe and blessed year that no storm would harm us nor out country
