Man and woman held for marijuana possession in Harbour Island

POLICE in Harbour Island have arrested a man and a woman following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs on Saturday.

According to reports, shortly after 2pm police, acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant at a home on Coconut Grove Avenue, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. The adult female and male residents were subsequently taken into custody and are expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

In New Providence officers from the Tourism Policing Unit took an American man from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, into custody after they found a quantity of dangerous drugs in his possession on Saturday.

Around 9pm, officers acting on information are reported to have gone onboard a cruise ship moored at Prince George Wharf, where they arrested the man after they found a quantity of marijuana in his possession. The suspect is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

Legalize it. Weed is less dangerous than liquor, there is no logical reason to keep it illegal...

No one has ever been inebriated on weed. And Tribune please don't tell that dumb story of your staffer who was obviously on cocaine....

Look at how successful it has been legalized in the USA. It really is time to stop making criminals out of people who use weed....
