GOLF SKILLS CHALLENGE
GEORGETTE Rolle and her Fourteen Clubs Golf Academy’s Skills Competition continues at the Bahamas Golf Federation’s Driving Range, Baillou Hills Sporting Complex, this Saturday.
The short game scoring event is all set to begin at 11am and run through 1:30pm. The cost is $10 per person, including lunch, drinks and prizes based on performances. Registration will begin at 10:30am. Following Saturday’s competition, the next short game scoring event is scheduled for Saturday, December 10.
FINANCIAL BOWLING LEAGUE
THE top scorer in Financial Bowling League competition last night was again Alfred Burrows of the BTC Night Hawks with a 201 second high game and a 565 high three game set.
The runner-up was Dwayne Ingraham, also of the BTC Night Hawks, with a 556 second high set. Gary Lewis, of Best Deal Kirki Bar, led with a 203 in the high game department.
The ladies’ MVP was Xynea Johnson of Deloitte & Touche, who toppled the pins for a 182 second high game and a 511 high three game set. Johnson was followed by Uchenna Delva, also of Deloitte & Touche, with a 507 second high set. Andrea Hepburn, of the Best Deal Kirki Bar, led both the ladies and men with a high game of 204. The team scores of the evening were as follows: Strike Force 2, Moonlight Strikers 1; Rubis Oil Stars 2, Forsythe Communications 1; BTC Night Hawks 2, Best Deal Kirki Bar 1 and Deloitte & Touche 2, Leno Corporate Services 0.
BAHAMAS RUGBY UNION
THIS Saturday, the Bahamas Rugby Union is slated to continue its regular season at the Winton rugby pitch as the Cuckoos take on Baillou in a Nassau Cup match-up. The BRU also congratulated its ladies’ national team, who returned from Trinidad & Tobago where they ended up finishing sixth in the tournament and with a ranking of fourth place in the Caribbean.
