Encouraging women to “Trust the Process” one more time, motivational speaker and entrepreneur Raquel Pinder successfully hosted the latest instalment of the popular Beauty Beyond Feelings, Heart & Sole series last week.

The owner of the hairstyling company Styles By Kelly P, Ms Pinder has in recent years been using this platform to inspire, uplift and motivate women to be “beautiful beyond their feelings”.

She also hopes to help Bahamian women find their God-given purpose, which goes beyond just entering into relationships with men.

“Heart & Sole” is inspired by the idea that “most people keep their problems at the soles of their feet”, and Ms Pinder said she is on a mission to change this.

Since launching the event in 2014, she said she has received nothing but positive feedback from the women attending and heard numerous demands for her to keep going with the series.

Ms Pinder believes the “Trusting the Process” theme was well displayed at last week’s event. She said the panellists were all amazing and shared valuable information that left the guests wanting more. The panellists included Myles Munroe Jr, Lincoln Dean, Kerel Pinder, Joulle Dawkins and Nathaniel Adams.

“The conversations were captivating and thought-provoking. The event surpassed my expectations because I did not think persons would come out due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew, but there were 70 persons in attendance. We had a comedy act from January, also known as Bertrum oh Bubbler, who had us laughing and well entertained from start to finish. We had reflections where past attendees came and expressed their appreciation for the organisation. They also shared their experiences of past events they’ve attended and assured the attendees that they were in for a treat,” said Ms Pinder.

The response to the event, she said, was tremendous, and guests told her they did not want to leave, even for the intermission. One guest said he initially thought this was going to be just another “run of the mill” conference, but his mind was soon changed and he left with a new feeling of appreciation.

“Another attendee said she never thought for a second she would survive without being with a man, but after listening to the panellists she understands the importance of being by yourself and allowing God to work on her. For me, I was reminded that delayed is not denied. Sometimes God protects us from the unknown until the right time,” said Ms Pinder.

What motivates the young entrepreneur to continue with the event is the fact that lives are being changed and souls are being saved, she said.

Ms Pinder said due to this organisation and movement, persons have decided not to give up because they realise that there are others out there experiencing some of the same hardships they are going through.

“During this time where our country had been hit by Hurricane Matthew there is no other choice but to trust in God during. But in trusting God, I know there is a huge support system counting on me to not give up on the vision God has given me to carry out. Going forward we will continue to bring events that are thought-provoking, challenging, invigorating and empowering. We have launched our Beauty Beyond Feelings Club at St Anne’s School. The movement will be launching another product line, so stay tuned for that,” she said.
