RUGBY

BRU ACTION

The Bahamas Rugby Union is scheduledto hold its traditional season opener on Saturday at the Winton Rugby Centre with the President’s XV taking on the Vice President’s XV.

The regular season will commence on November 5 with Baillou taking on Buccaneers in the Nassau Cup.

Condolences

The rugby family would like to offer our condolences to the Charlton brothers who lost their mother to illness last week.

The funeral will be held in Freeport on November 12.

Women’s National Team

The ladies will be travelling to Trinidad to compete in the RAN 7s November 12-13. They’ve been training hard for this for the last three months and a lot of credit has to go to the coaches Kevin Salabie and Peter Lunn who have really put the hours in.

The girls will be selling food at Winton for the next two games in order to help raise funds for the trip, so please show them some support.
