GYMNASTICS

WALK RACE

The Bahamas Gymnastics Parent Booster Club will join in the World Gymnastics Day Saturday, September 17 by hosting a fun run/walk fitness race. The event will start at 7am from Goodman’s Bay to Arawak Cay and return to Goodman’s Bay.

The registration is $20 by today and $25 on race day. Proceeds will assist the gymnasts and coaches’ training development. For more information, persons are urged to log onto www.bahamasstargym.com, email bah.star.gym@gmail.com or call 603-7827.

BASEBALL

MARIO FORD CAMP

THE annual Mario Ford Baseball Camp is slated to begin 9am Saturday at Windsor Park. Ford will once again host the camp for boys and girls interested in learning the game. The event will continue every Saturday over the next few months.

JBLN REGISTRATION

THE Junior Baseball League of Nassau announces that they are preparing for the registration for the 2017 season. JBLN will host its 28th season of organised youth baseball and softball for girls in January, 2017 at the St Andrew’s Field of Dreams.

The league will feature the tee ball for 5-6 years, coach pitch for 7-8 years, little league minor division for 9-10 years, little league major division for 11-12 years, junior division for 13-15 years, senior division for 25-and-under and girls softball for 12-19 years.

FLAG FOOTBALL

YOUTH LEAGUE

THE Bahamas Flag Football hosted a successful football summer camp in August at the St Anne’s High School field. Peaking at 40 kids, the league intends to use those kids for its Youth League that commences 2pm this Saturday at the Winton Rugby Field.

Both boys and girls are invited to participate in this co-ed league that will cater to kids between the ages of six and 17. They will be taught the fundamental skills of American football which includes catching, passing and route running. The kids will participate in the inaugural Youth League - the season runs through November this year.
