REV Stephen Smith and the Ebenezer Union Baptist family of Exuma hosted their third annual Vacation Bible School under his auspices.

The theme this year was "Mighty Fortress - In Jesus, the Victory is Won!" The scripture verse was 1 Corinthians 15:57, "Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

It was a week of fun, fellowship, art and craft for the children who learned that God is their refuge and strength.

Some of the biblical stories shared included 'God's Might', 'Jericho's Wall', 'God Delivers King Hezekiah's Kingdom', 'God's Word Reforms King Josiah', and 'King Jesus Enters Jerusalem'.

The theme focused on God's unfailing love and that even though friends may disappoint or circumstances may seem unfavourable at times, boys and girls can rest assured that God promises to be their rock, their salvation, their fortress and their sure defence.

Lorraine Rolle and Monique Armbrister were the group leaders and worked diligently to ensure a successful and fun event for all.
