A TOTAL of 790 students marked the end of one chapter of their education at the inaugural Commencement Class of the University of The Bahamas.
Excited members of the university community, family, friends and supporters flooded the Thomas A Robinson Stadium on Thursday, May 25, to witness the historic commencement and cheer for the graduates.
Delivering the commencement address was alumnus and cyber security expert Dr Herbert Hugh Thompson, chief technology officer at Symantec Inc, the world’s largest security software company. He noted that there is nothing a graduate of UB cannot achieve on the international stage. UB President Dr Rodney D Smith affirmed that University of The Bahamas graduates are the true catalysts for change.
