THE New Providence Basketball Association is all set to begin play in their best-of-5 semi-final playoffs tonight at the AF Adderley Gymnasium.
The NPBA completed its regular season action at AF Adderley Wednesday night. Double R Services Cleaners and Hype Basketball Club won the final games in the men’s division I and two leagues respectively.
While Hype Basketball Club knocked off the Johnson’s Trucking 67-64 in the division II opener, Double R Cleaners swept aside the Rhythm Rebels 66-57 in the men’s division one play.

Christoph McKenzie, playing 27 minutes, scored 21 points on shooting 8-for-13 from the field and 6-for-9 from behind the three-point arch to lead the winners. He also had six rebounds and three steals.
Kenneth Johnson added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, Alexander Bullard chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists and Samuel Dean had eight points and 15 rebounds.
Qyemah Gibson led the losers with 22 points and five rebounds. Horris McKenzie scored 11 points, seven steals, six rebounds and three assists, Christoff Stuart had eight points and 11 rebounds, Henry Rolle also had eight points and four rebounds and Cordero Coakley had seven points and three rebounds.

Rhythm Rebels 57
Romell Johnson, in 33 minutes, shot 7-for-14 from the field, 3-for-6 from the three-point line and 6-for-7 from the foul line, to finish with 23 points and four rebounds to lead the winners.
Herbert Knowles had 19 points and 13 rebounds, Tamiko King had seven points, four rebounds and three assists, Vadis Morrison had six points and 13 rebounds and Stephen Culmer Jr added six points and six rebounds.
In a losing effort, Craig Buchanan had 22 points and five rebounds, Mekel Rolle had 19 points and seven rebounds and Theo Ferguson helped out with seven points.
