Born out of the Purpose Made Me Do To Ministry, the Gideon Project seeks to help all Bahamians who are suffering and to eliminate hunger, homelessness and hopelessness in the country.

Describing themselves as “Kingdom radicals”, the people behind Gideon Project want to show their faith not only in words, but through actions as well.

“With social issues being at their peak, we understand that the approach to ministry must evolve to assist the needs of the world,” project organisers said.

“There are so many people who are suffering; they feel forgotten and rejected because of their hardships. Although the mission and assignment at hand is great, and requires muscle, financial support and wealth of creativity and participation, we’ve seen in the book of Judges what 300 men can do.”

The organisers said they are excited to announce the official launch of the Gideon Project in early 2018 under the slogan “Mission 300 – The War Against Hunger, Homelessness and Hopelessness”.

“This coming February we will launch Mission 300 on the island of New Providence, with hopes of expanding to the neighbouring islands in the years to come. We aim to leave no district in need unattended, and no heart without hope,” the organisers said.

“As of December 1, 2017, we will be seeking 300 volunteers to join forces with us to make execute this mission. We are currently recruiting volunteers, teammates and partners.
