Church of God of Prophecy to host National Evangelism Conference

This year's Church of God of Prophecy's holistic evangelism conference is designed to provide a platform for networking in ministry, to educate, inspire and equip believers for effective ministry.

Over the past two decades, under the direction of Minister Dr Barbara F Williams, national director of Evangelism & Home Missions, the National Evangelism Conference has been hosted annually at the end of April, and more recently, once every two years. This year, for the first time, the conference will hit three islands consecutively, namely, New Providence, Long Island and Abaco.

Tomorrow, the New Providence sessions will open at the Church of God of Prophecy East Street Tabernacle. Believers from all denominations are encouraged to attend. Friday night will feature a presentation by Pastor Maurice Simms on "Music and Evangelism". The National Children's Choir of the church will be the special musical artists and Minister of Music Antoine Cunningham will lead the congregation into His presence.

On Saturday, from 9am, in the East Street Children's Chapel, the congregation will sit at the feet of Dr Leonardo Culmer, who has prepared a special presentation on "Wellness".

There will also be an inspirational panel discussion on "Transitions", facilitated by Katherine Beneby II of KBII Communications, featuring Bishops Rudolph V Bowe and Gersham A Pratt, and Minister Jarenda B Rahming.

"Whom shall I send?" Isaiah 6:8 will be dramatically delivered skit written and directed by Minister Samita Ferguson.

The conference will move to Long Island on Saturday, May 5, during that district's convention hosted by Bishop Sterling Moss at the Burnt Ground Church from 2pm to 4pm.

On Saturday, June 9, the conference will convene in Dundas Town, Abaco, at the Bay Street Church of God Prophecy, from 9am to 12noon, during the district convention hosted by Bishop Anthony T Roker.

While this Friday evening's activities are free, Saturday's registration is $50 and includes lunch and a breakfast snack.

To register, contact Minister Miriam Curtis, leader of the National Harvest Team at 449-3906, or Minister Seymour at 357-9003, or e-mail: nhtcogop@ymail.com by contacting COGOP pastors for registration forms.
