The Winterbotham Trust Company served as the BISX sponsor member that brought the funds to the exchange. UCAP Bahamas is the investment manager, and The Winterbotham Trust Company is their administrator.
Ivan Hooper, The Winterbotham Trust Company’s chief executive, said: “We are pleased to continue our effort of listing funds on BISX - this time by sponsoring the listing of ten licensed funds with diverse investment objectives.
“Working together with UCAP Bahamas, investment manager for these funds, we hope to be able to sponsor further funds in the future. As the largest fund administrator by number of funds in The Bahamas, listing has become a key component of our offering. Listing with BISX is a key enhancer to this offering and our ability to attract funds to The Bahamas.”
Keith Davies, BISX’s chief executive, said: “This is a major step forward for our mutual fund listing facility, and it demonstrates the ability of the exchange to handle a high volume of listing applications at one time.
“BISX worked with the administrator, The Winterbotham Trust Company, to ensure that the application and listing process was executed in a smooth and efficient manner. We wish to thank Winterbotham for their support in this entire listing process, and of the exchange in general.”
