BIANCA 'BB' Stuart, in preparation for the IAAF World Indoor Championships and the Commonwealth Games, won the women's long jump at the 2018 Birmingham Metro CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, on Sunday.
Stuart won the event with a leap of 6.48 metres or 21-feet, 3 1/4-inches on her second attempt. She fouled the first attempt but finished her series with 6.29m (20-7 3/4) on the third attempt, 6.21m (20-4 1/2) on the fourth, 6.27m (20-7) on the fifth and 6.33m (20-9 1/4) on the sixth.
Elizabeth Dadzie, a senior at Mid Tennessee State, was second with 5.84m (19-2) on her second attempt. Brittany Jones, a freshman at William Carey, was third with 5.70m (18-8 1/2) on her fourth attempt.
