EDITOR, The Tribune.
POPE Francis of Rome expressed words to the effect “God made you like this” and being gay does not matter.
Is that in accordance with the word of God?
To a Gay church member, Juan Carlos Cruz reflecting over his Life in a Gay complex issue was comforted; but is this in line with Godly principles?
In 1 cor 6:9, “The Holy Bible” states, Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, shall inherit God’s kingdom.
What about the cases where some men from infancy seem to be on the effeminate side, are they on the path to destruction?
In The May 28, 2018 of the Punch page 21, 2018 captioned “Pope comforts Gay man abused by Sissy priests!”
If I am Clairvoyant as I think I am; I can see the Gay floats in Atlanta, Miami and San Francisco in Hot Pink, etc, draped with the words “GOD MADE ME GAY.”
What about Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not Lie with Mankind, as with Womankind: It (is) abomination.
Perhaps the guilty accused was out of order to call alarm after all it was between the Pope and himself and should have remained there in confidence at the Vatican. Perhaps he breached a Code of Ethics.
We have all made mistakes in our short life time; Some of us have lobbied for Gay rights; some of us have supported openly gay men and women who who have been bashed, etc. Some of us have sacrificed our businesses and/or reputation for the openly Gay man and/or woman; To the detriment of our reputation and experience, I remember Fred Mitchell who claims that his business had suffered when he stood up for Lesbians, Gays Bisexuals and Transgenders.
I remember lobbying and praising Mr Fred Mitchel on March 20, 2014 of the Punch captioned “Fred should be praised for voicing Gay rights support.” For taking a stance while at an event in Trinidad for Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT)people.
Nevertheless, when it all boils down; to each his own; we just have to learn to get along in the global village with each other.
The hate in our community is so thick you can cut it with a knife.
Martin Luther King Jr once said “I have to stick with Love; Hate is too great a burden to bear”_ Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
What about the Scripture which says at Leviticus 20:13 “If a Man also lie with Mankind, as he lieth with woman, both of them have committed abomination: They shall surely be put to death; Their Blood (Shall Be) upon them. Is this this an alibi to take the Life of a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transvestite person? Is this out of character with a just and/or Loving God? What do you think? Food for thought.
Both The Nassau Guardian of May 24, 2018 by Nicole Winifield and The Tribune of May 24, 2018, cheer Pope Francis’ “God made you like this remark,” embraced by the LGBT community as another sign of Pope Francis’ desire to make Gay people feel welcomed and loved in the Catholic Church.

I am of the belief that organized religion has held us back as a species.

...which is not to be confused with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

I agree. But it has, historically, kept the masses 'in check' - which was the purpose behind its creation.

Arguing religion is like arguing about aliens. To date there has been no credible evidence about either.
