BOWLING
Kevin B Williams was the men’s top scorer in the Financial Bowling League competition on Wednesday night at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Centre. Williams, of Strike Force, led the way with a 226 high game and a 629 high three game set. Sonith Lockhart of Rubis Oil was the runner-up with a 210 second high game and a 578 second high set. Joy Lockhart of the BTC Night Hawks was the ladies’ most valuable player with a 221 high game and a 564 high three game series. Lockhart was followed by Tara Culmer of the Moonlight Strikers with a 196 second high game and a 520 second high set.
The team scores for the evening were as follows:
Strike Force 2, Rubis Oil Stars 1; BTC Night Hawks 2, Best Deal Kirki Bar 1; Moonlight Strikers 2, Deloitte & Touche 1; ZNS Hill Thrillers 3, Leno Corporate Services 0.
RUGBY
The Bahamas Rugby Union will continue its regular season action at the Winton Rugby Centre with a double header on tap on Saturday. In the 2pm opener, the Cuckoos will take on the Buccaneers in a Heineken Cup match-up, followed by an exhibition match at 4pm between Baillou and the visiting St John’s University out of Minnesota.
