EDITOR, The Tribune.
READ your excellent leader article about Grand Bahama (Feb 20th) and agree with what was written. However, along with imagination we need Education.
General education, and particularly business education, how to set up, run, finance and staff a successful small business.
Many of the types of businesses you mention do not require huge amounts of capital or long periods of training to become knowledgeable but without the three rs - reading writing and arithmetic - they become difficult to run, manage and even be employed.
Hit it on the head, Mr Government, and make the Education of young Bahamians the first base for the setting up of small scale businesses, to make them the real people employers and forget 5 billion!!
