Royal Caribbean International is hosting a two-day job fair starting today at the National Training Agency on Gladstone Road hoping to fill a number of onboard positions ranging from bartender to broadcast technician.
The job fair comes as the cruise line made its inaugural visit to Nassau last week of the world's newest and largest cruise ship, the flagship Symphony of the Seas, and as Royal Caribbean gets set to complete its new Perfect Day at CocoCay, a $240m investment creating what the cruise line calls the ultimate "chill and thrill guest experience".
The company hopes to identify candidates for departments including food and beverage, hotel operations, culinary and entertainment.
Positions range from entry level positions such as bar servers, restaurant attendants and cleaners to skilled positions - butchers, bakers and pastry cooks in addition to a host of opportunities connected with the ship's vast entertainment offerings from sound and light technicians to technical broadcast staff and entertainers.
Royal Caribbean has declared hiring Bahamians among its top talent management priorities.
Prospective candidates are asked to dress appropriately and bring ID and a resume.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm both days.
