THE New Providence Basketball Association hosted a triple header at the AF Adderley Gymnasium on Saturday night.
• Here’s a look at the games played:
The Caro Contractors Resistance defeated the Caro Contractors Titans 120-108 in division II play, while in division one, Discount Distributors Rockets def. the Caro Contractors Pirates 97-92 and the PJ Stingers def. JD’s Seafood Shockers 87-62.
Rockets 97, Pirates 92: Cordero Pinder scored 21 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field and 11-for-12 from the foul line in 29 minutes and 13 seconds. He also had six rebounds.
Enrico Bethel had 13 points and five rebounds, Lerecus Armbrister had 11 points, six rebounds and as many assists and Livingstone Munnings, David Taylor and Rashad Saunders all came off the bench and contributed nine points.
In a losing effort for Caro Contractors, Christoff Stuart had a game high 25 points on 9-for-20 from the field, 2-for-6 from the three-point line and 5-for-6 from the foul line. Stuart also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Elvardo Burrows had 16 points, six assists and five rebounds, Kronoff Dean had 16 points, three rebounds and three assists and Dominique Fernander added 15 points with eight rebounds, four assists and as many steals.
Stingers 87, Shockers 62: Brian Bain came off the bench and in 18:38 points, poured in 17 points with three rebounds, three assists and two block shots to lead PJ’s ti victory.
Torrington Cox added 15 points and 10 rebounds, Able Joseph had 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks, Salathiel Dean had 11 points, 12 rebounds and three block shots and Scottie Farrington had nine points and four rebounds.
In a losing effort for JD’s Seafood, Lenny Oscar had 13 points, Shakwon Lewis had 13 points, three rebounds and a pair of steals, Cameron Adderley eight points and both Patrick Brice and Walter Charlton chipped in with six apiece.
Resistance 120, Titans 108: Antonio Hanna exploded for a game high 27 points on 7-for-26 shooting from the field, 4-for-10 from the three-point line and 9-for-9 from the free throw line in 21 minutes to lead Caro Contractors. Hanna also had seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Marcian Higgins scored 16 points with three rebounds, Kamal Murphy had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, Franz Smith Jr had 11 points, five rebounds and three assists, Shaquille Outten and Barry Stuart both came off the bench with 11 points and two rebounds each to help out.
Christian Johnson paced the losing Caro Contractors with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and as many steals. Ashvaughn Bethel had 20 points, six rebounds and three steals, Dewhome Murray had 15 points and four rebounds, Delmar Hamilton had 14 points and five rebounds, Savant Laing had 12 points, five rebounds and as many steals and Audley Butler added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.
