The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) hosted a successful briefing session for delegates attending the recent Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) conference in Mexico City.
The event, held on October 4, attracted more than 150 financial services intermediaries and professionals. It was designed to give conference delegates an opportunity to network and dialogue with Bahamian delegates.
Attendees heard brief remarks from Brent Symonette, minister of financial services, trade and industry and Immigration, as well as BFSB's chief executive and executive director, Tanya McCartney.
The briefing session/cocktail event was part of BFSB's efforts to promote The Bahamas to top international wealth management professionals. Since its creation 20 years ago, BFSB has continually invested in ensuring there is a greater awareness of The Bahamas as an international financial centre (IFC) that is committed to transparency and international best practices.
