THE House of Assembly welcomed Olympic 400m gold medallist and 2018 Diamond League winner Shaunae Miller-Uibo, her husband and Olympian decathlete Maicel Uibo, Olympic medallist Leevan Sands, and Jamaican Olympic gold medallist and sprinting star Asafa Powell, during their attendance of the sitting of the House yesterday.
Also a part of their delegation was Olympian and Director of Sports Timothy Munnings, and family members and friends. Speaker of the House Halson Moultrie recognised the Olympians and Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Lanisha Rolle and Leader of the Opposition Philip Davis led in bringing commendations to them.
Later, Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis and the Members of Parliament greeted the guests during the break. Shown (l-r) in the House of Assembly are Sands, Powell, Minister Rolle, Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Maicel Uibo, and Timothy Munnings.
