Pedrya Seymour led the list of top performers for Team Bahamas yesterday at the 18th Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
Seymour advanced to tonight's final of the 100m hurdles and will enter with the fourth fastest qualifying time of the field.
She finished second in heat two and advanced in 12.94 seconds just behind Alici Thompson of Jamaica (12.90) and ahead of Vanessa Clerveaux of Haiti (12.99).
Devynne Charlton finished fifth in heat one in 13.49 and did not advance with a No.10 overall finish.
Carolina Vargas of Costa Rica was first in 12.75, Sharika Nelvis of the United States was second in 12.85, Krystina Simmonds of Jamaica was third in 13.10 and Génesis Romero of Venezuela was fourth in 13.18.
Ken Mullings completed the final five events of the Decathlon and finished sixth overall with a total of 7,517 points.
He began the day with a fourth place finish in heat one of the 110m hurdles in 14.42.
In the Discus, he finished seventh overall with a season's best throw of 41.25m.
Mullings finished with the top mark in Group B of the Pole Vault with a season's best clearance of 4.40m.
Mullings finished sixth in the Javelin with another season's best, a throw of 57.18m.
In the event finale, Mullings was 11th in the 1,500m in 5:02.79.
In swimming, N'Nhyn Fernander finished sixth in heat two of the 100m Butterfly in 55.65. He advanced through to the B Final as the No. 15 qualifier overall.
Luis Mendez of Uruguay won the heat in 51.44 and will enter the semi-finals as the fastest qualifier.
The Bahamas (Jared Fitzgerald, Gershwin Greene, Ariel Weech and Albury Higgs) finished fourth in the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay in 3:41.8.
Brazil took first in 3:32.32, Canada was second in 3:36.27 and Peru was third in 3:39.76.
Team Bahamas continues the swimming competition today, and also in the judo competition and on the track.
In the 100m Freestyle, Lilly Higgs will swim first in heat two of the women's race while Jared Fitzgerald will swim in heat four among the men's series. In the 200m Breaststroke, Laura Morley will swim in heat one while Albury Higgs will appear in heat two.
Tyler Russell will swim in heat one of the men's prelims.
Davante Carey will also compete in heat one of the 100m Backstroke.
On the track, Jeffery Gibson gives the Bahamas another medal hopeful in the final of the 400m hurdles.
Anthonique Strachan, Tynia Gaither and Cliff Resias will contest the 200m.
The two judokas - Sasha Ingraham and Cynthia Rahming - will also compete in their judo competition, starting today. They will be coached by Onesi Portorreal-Pons.
