A Grand Bahama-based law firm yesterday announced it has been named as one of the top 50 global firms by LegalComprehensive.com.
"Nobody at our firm chose this profession to win awards or accolades. We're all here to help people. However, when things like this do happen, it's a sign that we are doing the right things and we can be proud of the work we do every day," said Jacy Whittaker, founding partner of ParrisWhittaker.
"This recognition helps us validate the work we do. And this will help serve as an extra motivator to push us to continue to offer the highest level of service, innovation and diligence."
A guide to legal and financial practitioners throughout the world, LegalComprehensive's directory features 12,000 attorneys, 2,000 law firms, and 4,000 corporate finance and taxation experts.
The directory is used to shortlist the best practitioners and top firms. LegalComprehensive's ranking process reviews each nomination using their own independent research and editorial teams. They then create a shortlist of up to five potential winners in each category.
Candidates are judged on service type and range; business type; geographic location; how the business operates; and the expertise they offer.
The shortlisted firms are then reviewed by an independent awards panel in each country, with the eventual winners chosen by that independent panel.
