This Tuesday, a group of men gathered at the Creative Christian Arts Ministries International on Nassau Street to participate in "A Call to Prayer for Men". Organised by Apostle Henry Higgins, the event sought to bring men together to pray for their fellow men. Men from various denominations and organisations came out and united despite their religious differences to pray for the men of the nation.
Prayers were offered by Pastor Wilfred Adderley of the Bahamas Public Prayer Ministry for the entire nation and protection from Hurricane Dorian. Pastor Samuel Rolle of the Boys Club of the Bahamas prayed for the boys of the nation and the male student population. Brother Keith Cox, president of the International Men's Day Organisation, prayed for all men in government.
Bishop Oral Rolle of Practical Life Ministries prayed for husbands and fathers, while Minister David Williams of Prison Fellowship prayed for the incarcerated men. Pastor Keith Kemp prayed for men suffering from sickness, while Timothy Blair of Bahamas Faith Ministries prayed for businessmen. Gospel recording artist Mr Blaxx ministered with his song "Family Man", while Apostle Leroy Butler performed his song "Praises" and prayed for all male recording artists.
Apostle Higgins closed the prayer session with a prayer sealing all of the prayers sent up and asking God for quick answers. He also spoke to the scourge of violence seeing as six young men have lost their lives in the last seven days. He pointed out that many men have left their homes, families and children because the warlock spirit, which is a covenant breaker, has been released upon the nation.
