SADIE Curtis dethroned Yellow Elder Primary as baseball champions in the New Providence Public Primary School Sports Association (NPPPSSA) sports league.
They defeated the defending champions 5-4 in the title game at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Friday.
Sadie Curtis completed an undefeated run throughout the tournament which featured a total of 10 teams.
Doyle Sears was named the most valuable player. In the championship game he went 2-3, including a double and a triple, drove in two RBI and also scored two runs.
Yellow Elder was still able to win one championship trophy on the afternoon as their girls claimed the softball championship.
They won 5-0 over Uriah McPhee in the title game. Kaylique Miller was named the MVP and dominated on the mound with nine strikeouts.
