Rev Stephen Smith and the Ebenezer church family rejoiced for the six young people who were recently baptised. The baptismal candidates underwent six weeks of teaching led by Thelma Smith and Irene Rolle during which the message of sin acknowledgement, repentance and God’s salvation were expounded. Matthew 16:15-16 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned”.
The act of baptism took place at the Farmer’s Hill and Emerald Bay Beach on Saturday afternoon. All candidates participated in their first communion service during the Sunday morning worship service and were presented certificates of baptism and gift bags. The six candidates are Kazmyn Smith, Jahda Colebrooke, Kaymika Milford, Thalia Smith, Makayla Sands and Ervin Smith.
