Tourism thrilled at Denver airlift

The minister of tourism is “thrilled” that United Airlines will open more US markets for The Bahamas when it begins service from Denver on March 7, 2020.

“We are thrilled that our partners at United Airlines are increasing service, giving Denver and surrounding-area residents a more accessible way of travelling to our beautiful country,” said Dionisio D’Aguilar.

The service will also provide connectivity to The Bahamas for residents of nearby cities and states in the US West Coast and north-west region, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Boise, Idaho and Seattle, Washington.

United Airlines will launch a Saturday-only non-stop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA).

The new service, operated by a Boeing 737-800, will add 166 seats each week to Nassau’s airlift capacity with the following flight times:

• Departing Denver at 9.56am and arriving into Nassau at 4pm

• Departing Nassau at 11.37am and arriving into Denver at 2.43pm

The service will be suspended during the off-peak travel season beginning in August 2020, and will restart on October 21, 2020, on an annual basis.
