IN A drama, song, and dance event themed “The True Gift of Christmas” - the Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) will present its highly anticipated Christmas production on Sunday.
The event will be held at the Myles Munroe Diplomat Centre, Carmichael Road, from 6.30pm, hosted by the church’s Students of Purpose Aligned for Radical Kingdom Success (SPARKS) children’s ministry.
Minister Tracy Knowles, fine arts director at BFMI, said it is the organisation’s primary mission to provide a warm, child-friendly environment where kids can learn godly principles and discover how important they are to God’s plan on Earth.
She said the SPARKS children’s ministry empowers children to discover and use their God-given gifts and talents to glorify God and to spread the Kingdom message.
This year, SPARKS will partner with its fine arts ministry to feature a drama called “Chosen Too” which is directed by Juliet McPhee, produced by Janet Ferguson and musically co-ordinated by Elvira Moss and Erica Farquharson.
“It is a fun, fresh and modern take on the story of Jesus’ birth and delves into all that He is to us. Filled with witty banter and lively songs all while explaining the purpose of Christ’s birth, this Christmas production is guaranteed to captivate the audience. Dramatically combining snowflakes, ice princesses, shepherds and wise men who all work together to ensure that you and your family have everything that is needed to make your holiday all that it is meant to be. Please come support these little darlings while rejoicing in the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ,” said Minister Knowles.
During the second segment of the night, Minister Knowles said the fine arts department will continue to wow the audience with special performances by Men of Standard, Sounds of Heaven, The Diplomat Centre Praise Team and BFMI Dance Team among others.
“I am extremely excited about the event, especially the opening presentation which is sure to elevate the excitement at this festive event. We enjoy using the Fine Arts platform, our gifts of music, drama and dance to glorify King Jesus and to further the Kingdom Message throughout the earth. When we all combine our talents for one goal, the power of one sound is much stronger, more effective than if we operate alone. Partnering with like-minded persons and the next generation of artists is such a blessing.
Especially as our ministry prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2020, today’s leaders want to encourage and empower them to receive the baton, so that they can discover their purpose and maximise their potential as change agents, positively impacting the Bahamas and the world. This has always been the message of Bahamas Faith Ministries - to transform followers into leaders and leaders into agents of change,” said Minister Knowles.
The minister went on to say this combined effort promises to satisfy and inspire every member of a family from the young in age to old. Tickets are available and are being sold at the Bahamas Faith Ministries International, $10 for adults and $5 for children. Readers can call (242) 461-6400 for more information.
