Joanna Evans continues to be a standout performer for her top-ranked Texas Longhorns to lead the list of impressive performances for Bahamians in NCAA Division I swimming.
The Olympian and Longhorns senior All-American, Evans won three events when her No 1 Longhorns defeated the No 6 North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Arizona Wolfpack.
Evans took first place in the 1000 yard Free (9:45.19 secs), 200 yard Free (1:46.31 secs), and 500 yard Free (4:47.18 secs).
Evans also took three individual events in the double dual against Florida and Indiana to start the season.
Texas has now won 21-straight dual meets since the 2016-17 season with 18 of those coming against Top 25 foes.
Back in November, Evans was named Big 12 Swimmer of the Week after her four first-places finishes in meets against the nation’s No 11 team - Texas A and M Aggies and the No 5 team, the California Golden Bears.
In the Atlantic Coast Conference, freshman sensation Izaak Bastian secured another win for the Florida State Seminoles.
The No 22-ranked FSU closed out their season with a 191-100 win over the Florida Atlantic University Owls.
Individually, Bastian finished third in the 50 yard free and was a member of the first place 200 yard Medley team.
Lilly Higgs and the North Carolina Tar Heels Women suffered a 134.50-165.50 loss to the No 21 Duke.
The Tar Heels swept three events, including the 100 yard Breast, 200 yard Breast and 1000 yard Free.
Higgs won the 200-yard breast in 2:16.58 secs and finished second in the 100 yard breast in 1:02.57 secs.
