TEACHING people how to love in a supernatural way is the thrust behind tonight’s Valentines’ Day special event hosted by Miracle Life Ministries.
The church is presenting a session called “A Condition of the Heart” that begins at 7.30pm. It will be held at the ministry on Joe Farrington.
Dr Cleon Munroe, pastor of Miracle Life, will speak.
The session is expected to focus on not limiting love or trying to contain it in a box, but rather allowing the love of God to penetrate one’s heart until it overflows. The most important thing in life is to give out love and to allow it to come in.
“The Bible speaks to how important it is to take good care of our hearts. Proverbs 4:23 tells us: ‘Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.’ Where there is love, there is life. Christ also admonished us to love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. Then he said to love your neighbour as yourself. To me, it suggests that we keep our hearts in good condition. If our hearts are damaged, bruised or heavy with issues, how can we then say that we are truly loving with all our heart,” said Minister Elect Adena Sherman-Young.
She told Tribune Religion this message is truly important because Christians must continuously evaluate their love walk and search their hearts.
“It’s important for us to regularly evaluate our hearts to see if there is anything negative there that may be hindering us from having a true relationship with God and others. If there is, God is there to help us to address, and eventually take them away so that our hearts are pure and free to love,” she said.
“Love is the most important factor in life. It is in obedience to these laws or commands that you will be in right standing with God. Seeking to be the righteous in the eyes of God, promises to result in the addition of all other earthly needs and desires. In this endeavour to be among the righteous of God, you must be certain that the love you confess towards God and each other is true love and not infatuation. A love forged in sacrifice and not commitment. Not a love inspired by personal motive.”
In addition to inspiring those in attendance, to ensure they are loving others wholeheartedly, the event will be filled with surprises and gifts, she added.
