THE NBA Players Association embarked on a new venture by hosting their annual All-Star Weekend meetings in the Bahamas for the first time.
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and the NBAPA partnered to sponsor the “One Court Bahamas” initiative.
Over 100 NBAPA executives and player representatives attended exclusive viewing parties, comedy shows and poolside events at the Baha Mar group of resorts.
During the meetings, the NBAPA elected Warriors forward Andre Iguodala as the union’s new first vice president, replacing LeBron James as his term expired. They also elected three new vice presidents - Malcolm Brogdon (Milwaukee Bucks), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics) and Bismack Biyombo (Charlotte Hornets).
The NBPA is the union for current professional basketball players in the NBA. Established in 1954, the conceivable measure is taken to assist players in maximising their opportunities and achieving their goals on and off the court.
