MOTORISTS travelling on East Bay Street have been warned to expect single lane closures as roadwork resumes on the street today.

The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix released a statement notifying motorists of scheduled milling and paving works for East Bay Street, which will start today from 9.30am to 2pm, for seven working days. Remedial work will be done between Mackey Street and Fowler Street followed by the removal of the road way between Fowler Street and Montagu Shores.

The statement advised motorists to prepare for single lane closures for the duration of the works or to avoid the area entirely if possible.

The public has also been warned to expect traffic delays, detours and interruptions in water supply on Meeting Street as work continues on the road.

The Water and Sewage Corporation said work is scheduled for Meeting Street between Blue Hill Road and Nassau Street daily until January 25.

Both WSC and Bahamix apologised for any inconvenience caused by the projects.
