• The Skekinah Family Word Centre Ministry will be hosting its “Give Live Community Outreach” block party this Saturday at Quakoo Street from 11am to 4pm. There will be giveaways, including food, refreshments, clothing and houseware items. There will also be free haircut and hair-braiding services, blood pressure and glucose testing, face painting and more. Music will be provided by “Super C”.

• Under the theme “Pressing On” the Big Harvest Community Sunday School will host its 18th annual ‘Rally in the Alley’ event, which will include an awards presentation and a progress report. Seven Sunday/Sabbath School teachers who have contributed to the growth and development of their respective schools will the receive the ‘Conquering Lion’ award. It all goes down this Sunday at 3pm on Wood’s Alley off Market Street. Parking is available at the Transfiguration Baptist Church on Market Street and at the Salem Baptist Church on Taylor Street.
