JAZZ Chisholm and Lucius Fox split a four-game series in another head-to-head matchup, Tahnaj Thomas improved in his third start and Kristian Robinson hit his second home run of the season to highlight action from Bahamian players this week in minor league baseball.

Chisholm and the Jackson Generals won the final game over Fox and the Montgomery Biscuits in Double-A Southern League play.

Neither player appeared defensively in the finale but Chisholm pinch hit in the ninth inning of a 4-2 Biscuits win. He singled to load the bases but all runners were left stranded after the Biscuits Phoenix Sanders concluded the game on consecutive strikeouts.

Chisholm finished the series 3-12 with three RBI while Fox finished 2-10 with one stolen base.

On July 2, Fox’s 22nd birthday, Chisholm spoiled the celebration and sparked a 3-2 win with his first-inning performance at the plate. Chisholm was previously 0-6 on the season with the bases loaded, but clubbed the first pitch he saw from off the 24-foot-wall in left field to clear the bases and give the Generals all the runs they needed for the win.

In the Rookie level Appalachian League, Thomas had his best appearance on the mound thus far for the Bristol Pirates.

After being limited to 1 2/3 innings over his first two starts, Thomas threw five innings for the Pirates, allowing three unearned runs on four hits with a season-high five strikeouts in a win over the Kingston Mets.

Thomas is currently the No.16 ranked player in the Pirates organisation and No.5 among pitchers, according to MLB Pipeline.

Robinson continues to make an immediate impact for the Hillsboro Hops in the Class A Short Season in the Northwest League. He hit his second home run of the year in a 6-0 win over the Vancouver Canadians.

The No.5 ranked prospect for the Arizona Diamondbacks, he finished 2-4 with three RBI, scored two runs and added one stolen base.

Through 17 games, Robinson is hitting .313 with 21 hits, six doubles, scored nine runs, 15 RBI, five stolen bases an OBP of .390, OPS of .882, and slugging .493 with his pair of home runs.
