COMPETITION in the Kalik Summer Bowling League Tournament started Monday night at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Centre with nine teams competing for the first-place prize of $,1200, 2nd place $600 and 3rd place $400.
The MVP of the evening was Lyrone Burrows of the BAF Stars with a 234 high game and a 596 high three-game series.
The runner-up was Barrett McDonald of The Closers with a 233-second high game and a 551-second high set.
A minimum of six players make up each team with most sponsoring themselves and having some unusual names.

Crank City - 2, 812 pins
Rum Runners - 2,793 pins
Strike Force - 2,780 pins
The tournament breaks next week for the Bahamas Bowling Federation’s World Cup Rolloffs and continues in two weeks.
