JOHN Goede, the International Tennis Federation’s development officer for the Caribbean, is in town to conduct a four-day clinic for Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association members.
Participants of the Play Tennis Course (PTC) began the sessions this weekend at the National Tennis Centre.
The participants are receiving technical and instructional knowledge as they move from the classroom setting to the courts.
PTC is an introductory level tennis qualification.
“The association has embarked on this timely initiative to further the development of coaching,” said Darnett Weir, president of the BLTA.
“The impact is that young and adult beginners will benefit greatly from what the coaches have been taught.”
