The music ministry at the Abundant Life Bible Church is carrying on its long and illustrious legacy as it hosts a special 40th anniversary concert this Sunday.
Under the theme, “Great God, Great Vision, Great Accomplishments”, the event will take place at the church on Abundant Life Road, beginning at 7pm.
The concert will feature gospel artists Kenyatta Taylor, Soprano, Candace Bostwick, Ian Stewart, Chara Miller, Yhonnick McKinney, Edison Sumner and VOP, The Adventist Praise Reunion Ensemble, The Blue Hills Gospel Praise Team, and more.
“The concert is promised to be a night of celebration, praise and worship with a special tribute to the late Pastor Edward F Allen, and most importantly, giving glory to the most important guest, the Almighty God, for 40 years of faithful ministry,” said a church representative.
The anniversary celebrations kicked off with the Legacy Weekend, which was held on Friday, November 1, to Sunday, November 3. The weekend was hosted at Atlantis, Paradise Island, and featured activities for the entire family including women’s, men’s and youth retreats, an anniversary service and banquet.
The Sunday’s concert will highlight “The Celebration Choir” which consists of members of the various choirs and soloists of Abundant Life.
Abundant Life Bible Church was founded in 1979 and lead by Pastor Edward F Allen for 31 years. In 2010, he retired and passed the mantle on to co-pastors Cranston Knowles and Gil Maycock. The church believes its music ministry has its roots firmly planted in the will of God.
Admission for the concert is $10 for adults and $5 for children. For more information, contact the church’s office at 393-8134, e-mail info@albcm.org or visit the Facebook page Abundant Life Bible Church.
