British Airways yesterday said increasing the frequency of its Nassau to London service from four to five weekly flights with effect from April 2020 should boost visitor arrivals from the UK.
Flights to Heathrow Airport will leave on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the service continuing to be shared with the Cayman Islands.
Diane Corrie, British Airways’ commercial manager for the Caribbean, said: “This expansion in airlift perfectly complements initiatives to bring more visitors to the island, and to offer increased options for travel to London and beyond from The Bahamas.”
The addition of a fifth flight, she predicted, “will better serve representatives of the corporate community - including the business and finance sector, and other residents of The Bahamas - who travel frequently on British Airways for business and leisure, and to visit friends and family”.
