WITH only four weeks left before a new year starts, the leadership of Calvary Deliverance is hoping to motivate believers to end 2019 on a strong note.

As the church reflects on the past 12 months, the CDC family, led by Bishop James Newry, invites the general public to join them as they “gird themselves with the full armour of God’s power” at their second annual “Finish Strong” conference scheduled for December 4-5, with nightly sessions at 7pm. The guest speaker is Prophetess Quinty Sears of Grand Bahama.

“Come and be motivated to complete all unfinished tasks and goals with focus, confidence and discipline. An empowerment awaits you as you respond well to the challenges in front of you,” said church exhorter Diana Duncombe.

Ms Duncombe said there are many people who experienced hardship this year and may be on the verge of losing hope. She said the conference will uplift and serve as a reminder that God is still able.

“We go through a lot of trials and tribulations every day. We want persons to know that God has not changed. He remains the same. We want them to hold on and not give up. We want them to hold on despite how things may look, hold onto God’s unchanging hand,” she said.

This Sunday, the church will also host the seventh annual pastoral anniversary celebration in honour of its senior pastor, Bishop James Newry, and his wife, Elder Queenie Newry.

The speaker will be Suffragan Bishop Dr Anthony Farrington from Transformations International and Elder Byron Brown. Services will be held under the theme “The Labourer is Worthy of his Reward”.
