For years there has been serious issues when the Bahamas Christian Council speaks as does it speak for all denominations or for a select majority group - Baptist?
Surely when the President speaks he has to confirm is he speaking for the Baptist fraternity of for the whole? He will find if he checks the BCC articles of Association where an opinion is given and there is dissent, an opposing view, the BCC must confirm that denomination dissent from the opinion.
I suggest practising churchgoers today is now at a 50 percent level, so when the BCC speaks they must be more careful how they talk, on what they talk and if they even have the support of all their members?
Ironic at the same time as the Anglican Bishop spoke so well on the issue of migrants the BCC takes up the issue of a Pride Week.
We have now heard the BCC speak about the level of adultery, abuse of wives, children and others, our national habit of ‘sweet-hearting’, drugs, our love of violence. No, BCC speaks about a proposed Pride event.
Holding a Pride March with police permission and everyone complying with the Law – what’s wrong with that BCC?
